Student Recognition

The staff at Nixon Elementary is committed to a high standard of behavior and ensuring that each child has the right to learn and play safely in an orderly school environment. The expectation is all students, at all times will follow Nixon’s “Super Six” guidelines which are:

  1. We show respect for adults and children.
  2. We settle differences without fighting.
  3. We show proper school conduct (appropriate language).
  4. We are always in the correct school area.
  5. We take care of school and personal property.
  6. We move quietly and safely from place to place.


Character Counts!
Each month students are selected by their teachers and recognized at the Student Awards Ceremony for their exemplary behavior of the Value of the Month. Nixon students are asked to be courteous, honest, respectful, dependable, determined, patient, cooperative, to be good sports and to participate at school.

STUDENT RECOGNITION

The student recognition awards will be presented during the monthly Student Awards Ceremony, which takes place on the last Wednesday of each month.
